Artur is a statistician, data scientist, and software developer with nearly 20 years' experience. This includes 12 years' experience as a statistician and expert in a credit risk department of a retail bank. Artur has a Ph.D. degree in mathematics.

He has many years’ experience in diverse commercial and scientific projects related to data analysis and statistical modeling. Artur has been developing computer software for statistical modeling and doing data analysis. He is also an experienced project manager and programmer.

In 2006 he started work as an independent consultant and instructor of commercial short courses in many subjects including development of scoring models, data mining, and statistics. Total number of hours of the courses taught exceeded 2,000. Since 2011 he is an owner of data science and statistics consultancy company QuantUp. QuantUp served over 80 clients including many financial institutions and very big international companies. Since 2012 Artur is Vice CEO of a Swedish bioinformatics company MedicWave and joins this position with CSO duties and being co-owner.

Since the very beginning of his professional career he has been working in parallel in banking or business, science, and as an academic teacher. He has been teaching data mining, statistics, and computer science. Artur is an author and co-author of many scientific papers and supervisor of over fifty M.Sc. and B.Sc. theses. He is a co-author of a book about time series analysis and forecasting and frequently speaks at business and non-profit conferences related to data analysis and free statistical software. Artur is a long-term keen user of R and other open-source software.
